1 ENQUIRY · 6 THINGS TO HAVE READY · 13 STAGES
A quote is a drawing with a number attached to it. Before anyone can write one honestly, the room has to be measured, the appliances confirmed and the scope agreed — whether you are replacing doors and a benchtop or stripping the space back to studs. This page starts that sequence.
4 WALLS · 1 CEILING HEIGHT · 6 NOTES
None of this has to be precise, and nothing has to be attached. Rough wall lengths written into the message are enough to tell whether a layout can move, whether a wall is carrying something, and which of the thirteen services the job sits under. Photos are for the reply and the site measure — we will ask for them once we have read what you have sent.
STAGES 01–04
The quote is the fourth of thirteen stages. Everything after it — materials, demolition, cabinetry, services, benchtops, splashback, installation, finishing, handover — is built on the drawing the quote describes.
1 SCHEDULE · 20MM EDGE · 0 ASSUMPTIONS
Two quotes for the same kitchen can differ by a long way and both be reasonable — the gap is usually in what each one assumes. A useful quote names the carcass material and the door finish, the benchtop material and its edge detail, the splashback, the hardware brand, the appliance list it has been drawn around, and the plumbing and electrical work included rather than left to you.
It should also be explicit about exclusions: flooring beyond the cabinetry line, plastering after a wall is opened, and anything found behind the old kitchen once it comes out. Read those lines first, then compare.
600 · 900 · 2340 — SEND THE ROOM
Tell us the suburb, the kind of kitchen you have in mind and roughly what the room is doing now. The more of the six notes above you can describe in the message, the more specific the first conversation can be. Photographs are not needed yet — we will ask for them when we reply.
