16MM CARCASS · 900 BENCH · 2340 FULL HEIGHT
Kitchen Renovation Oakleigh is a kitchen renovation, custom design and cabinetry specialist working in Oakleigh and the surrounding south-east Melbourne suburbs. The order of the work is the whole argument: measure the room as it is, draw it in module widths, set out every carcass, agree the schedule — and only then pick up a demolition bar.
01 · SCOPE
Most kitchens go wrong in the half hour before anyone measures. A layout is chosen from a photograph, a cabinet run is ordered to a nominal size, and the gaps are dealt with later by a scribe and a length of trim. We work the other way around. The room is recorded first — walls that are out of plumb, a floor that falls twelve millimetres across a run, a window reveal that decides where the bench can stop — and the drawing follows the measurements rather than the other way round.
02 · BUILD STANDARDS
Four decisions that determine whether a kitchen still closes quietly in ten years.
16MM · 300 / 450 / 600
Boxes are drawn in standard module widths so shelves, drawers and appliances land on a grid rather than on leftovers. Fillers are planned on the drawing, not discovered on site. Wet areas and machine bays get moisture-tolerant board as a rule, not as an upgrade.
3MM SHADOW LINE · SOFT CLOSE
Runners and hinges are specified to the weight of what the drawer will actually carry — pots and crockery, not catalogue photographs. Benchtops are templated off cabinetry that is already levelled and fixed, so joins, overhangs and cut-outs are measured from the real thing. Doors are adjusted at the end until the gaps read as one consistent line across the run, and the same line continues onto the island and the tall bank.

STAGES
SELECTIONS · TILE SAMPLES HELD AGAINST THE WALL BEFORE THEY REACH THE DRAWING
03 · 1:20 PLAN · 1:10 DETAIL
When a kitchen is split between a designer, a cabinet supplier and whoever is free to fit it, the gaps between those three are where money and weeks disappear. Nobody owns the dimension that was wrong. Keeping design, joinery and installation under one process means the setout that was measured in your kitchen is the same setout that reaches the saw and the same one the installer works to.
It also makes the sequence honest. Trades are booked against stages, not hopes: services are roughed in while the walls are open, cabinetry lands when the floor is ready to take it, and stone is templated only once the boxes are standing true. Where a stage depends on someone else — a plumber, an electrician, a stone fabricator — the dependency is written into the schedule before work starts.
04 · SCOPE FIT
Work is carried out in Oakleigh, Oakleigh South, Oakleigh East, Hughesdale, Huntingdale, Carnegie, Murrumbeena, Chadstone, Clayton and nearby south-east Melbourne suburbs.

Send through your suburb, the kind of kitchen you have and what is not working about it. A quote written against a real setout is worth more than a figure written against a guess.
